Prostitution: Reconsidering Research

The closest I can think of is "Reefer Madness" by Eric Schlessinger, the author of "Fast Food Nation". It is a collection of three essays on the underground economy in the United States. One examines the marijuana trade, the second examines the migrant workers in the strawberry fields, and the third is about the sex trade-but it concentrates more on the pornography business and not so much on prostitution.

Another soruce suggestion is to look for anything published by Coyote, which is a pro-prostitution organization.
