Find the possible dimensions(lenghts and widths) of rectangles with the given area. Then find the perimeters of these rectangles.
Area: 18 square units. Please help.

Since length • width = area,
1 • 18 = 18 ...........p = 38
2 • 9 = 18 .............p = 22
3 • 6 = 18 .............p = 18
4 • 4.5 = 18 ..........p = 17
5 • 3.6 = 18 ..........p = 17.2

And that's just the 1st 5 integer values for length. As you can see, perimeter is minimum when length and width are equal.

um 2 x 9 p = 22
1x 18 p = 38
3 x 6 p = 36
