There's nothing wrong with Oprah. She's an intelligent, articulate, self-made woman. And now an international philanthropist.
She was unfairly cricicized for recently setting up a school in Africa -- people said she should have done it in the US. I say she should do whatever work she wants, wherever she cares to help people.

I used to like Oprah because she appeared to be "real"...lately, as she has acquired more wealth and fame, I think she has become very full of herself...she does do a lot of good for many, however, she makes sure she is recognized for her deeds...she is beginning to show a bit of racism as well...it's fine to be proud of your race, but it has become very evident that she thinks very little of white people, as her comment that "I don't have to appease any white people" when asked about her new school in Africa didn't have many white girls.....I loved it when she had egg on her face when she promoted that book that was supposed to be non-fiction and was proven to be a bit embellished and she had to go on t.v. and admit that she was duped....then too, it was very obvious that the only real reason she was mad was that someone had the nerve to put her in an embarrassing situation.....get over yourself Oprah, we liked you better when you were more humble....

I personally like Oprah and I think she has a lot of good topics on her show. A lot of good information and advice. And she has a variety of topics. I think a lot of people like Oprah because she helps people, not just in our country, but in other countries as well. The show I remember the most is when she gave everyone in the audience a new car. Oprah is a giving person.

I think a lot of her audience members need to be sedated! It's good that she's a prominent black woman and that she gives money to charity etc. However, she's a bit of a Goddess to many, and that isn't healthy. She also seems to show her wealth off in her show quite a bit, which is nasty. I don't think non-Americans really "get" her, but she seems to be a good person overall.

I can't say I have a favorite or bad moment. Her Legend's Ball was a bunch of BULL@&@&!!

i absolutely love oprah. i think she's an excellent role model and does a fantastic job of hosting her own talk show. i like the fact that she does a lot of charitable work

Just like every other celebrity, she thinks she's more than she actually is. But worse, she pretends to be "just like us".
