This has to be the saddest
thing I've ever heard.
Why would you say that??

Ugliness is both a social perception (standards of beauty) and a personal experience. Just because someone is 'physically' ugly to most people does not mean that they won't be 'beautiful' to one person, or that the one person who sees the person as 'beautiful' is wrong.

For the record, ugliness is something by which beauty can recognize and compare itself, in much the same way you know that it's 'light' outside because it's not 'dark'. People who say that 'everyone is beautiful' do so because they are afraid to see how ugliness (like 'darkness') becomes a necessary component to beauty (and 'light').

That being said, again, just because a vast majority of people find you (or anyone else) 'ugly' is not a reason to go metaphorically jumping off a bridge. The great thing about being in a relationship is that it only takes one person to find 'value' and 'beauty' in you to make it work. Besides, how many of the 6 billion people on this planet do you really need to bolster your opinion? Everything and everyone in this world is beautiful to some people, and ugly to others.

Just as if you liked heavy metal, you wouldn't hang around people who sat and gushed about Mozart and Beethoven all day, so too do the same with those who consider you 'ugly'. Say to yourself 'guess we're not meant to hang out together' and move on.

Depends, some people have the ability to see themselves as the world does. Others live in their own world and refuse to see the face in the mirror as the rest of the world does. If you actually think you are ugly then you probably are-unless you have self esteem issues. The good news is that being ugly is NOT the end of the world. Just like when you lose one sense the others take up the slack; you will develope a great personality...

Depends. Some people know they aren't the best looking or best dressed but they see themselves as beautiful because they are beautiful inside. Some egotistical people refer to this situation as being a dreamer or not living in reality. But actually, who is to say what is or isn't ugly, or what ugly really means especially when we are made in God's image and likeness. God doesn't make anything ugly cause He's not ugly.

You shouldn't think of yourself as ugly! Besides, it's what's on the inside that counts, right? And people have different opinions on who's cute, ugly, hot, whatever. So it also depends on the person.

But to answer your question, they probably wouldn't since they're used to seeing themselves, I guess.

I don't know about most people, but I know I'm not ugly. I also know that I'm not pretty. But I do come close to being pretty when I spend some time on my hair & I put on makeup. Everybody, without exception, looks better their hair done & with makeup on, if they do it right.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder. If you have a beautiful heart, people will see beauty when they look at you.
