my best friend used to be bolimic in middle school. she stopped a few years ago, but now her body is acting very strange. she watches what she eats so she doesn't trigger her bolimia, but even when she eats a little bit, she cant hold down her food, when she throws up there is some blood and she says her intestines her (not her stomach, but her actual intestines) she gets these red dots all over her face, chest and arms. and at random moments she gets sharp pains in her heart (not sure if its from eating)

I've done some research and i found out she can get throat cancer and even die. I want to help her, but we both dont know what to do.

besides a therapist what are some ways for her to stay healthy? is there any kind of medication she can take to make her stop throwing up?

*serious answers only please. I'm so worried about her.

That is sad. It sounds to me like she has conditioned her body so that it's natural reaction when her mouth meets with certain textures is to regurgitate. I am sure there is medicine which can calm down her gag reflex. This is common in bulemia sufferers. the red spots sound like stress dots. Or they could be a sign that she is lacking a particular vitamin. A visit to her general practitioner would be a good choice. With bulemia usually all the sufferer needed to recover is a strong motivation to and it appears from what you siad your friend has that. shes lucky to have such a good friend. Help her find a doctor if she doens't have one or go to a public hospital. You only have to pay them if you can.

In one way this illness is much like alcoholism, in that, it's a disease that many people percieve as being the sufferes choice or a result of poor choices. Which is very seldom the case.

per chance you should get a juicer and juice fruit and vegetables for her???? She is lacking out on any such number of substantial supplementations and minerals through purging. adverse component, i extremely for her. it may also help her if she thinks about such issues because the acid she is stating from her abdomen each and every time she purges. All that nasty acid will fairly finally end up peeling each and every of the tooth off her tooth and giving her nasty cavities. imagine having to have dentures at any such snug age. also, bypass to a pharmacist and get him to signify a good multivitamin B pill, nutrition A & E pill (a hair, epidermis and nails pill), nutrition C pills. get up each and every morning and seem interior the mirror and say good morning "beautifull" to your self. tell your mirrored image that you're particular and unique, you're worth of love and appreciate and that you're continually going to be the perfect you that you'll. Then smile. even if you hate doing it before everything, stress your self to do it. you go with to confront your self image topics head on. you've already made the first step through asking us what to do. So CONGRATULATIONS, you've only realised that you in all likelihood extremely are a distinct and beautifull human being. extraordinarily because you've were given any such staggering chum who cares about you a lot. She needs professional help and she might have to be hospitalized. She might be suffering from a different eating disorder and might not be telling you the truth.I know that she's your best friend but right now she needs her parent's help.It would be best to talk to them about what is going on with their daughter.Only they can help her now.Good luck.
