What is the issue with Iran and Isreal?

is the world going to end or what? Iran and North Korea should just develop their nuclear weapons and start nuking.

Israel ... smallest guy on the block, but he has the biggest, strongest best friend to protect him (USA).

Iran ... kid with the inferiority complex. He knows he can't win at playing war (the only game all the kids like to play). He tried to fight Israel, he tried to fight Iraq ... both wars made Iran look like a laughing-stock. So now Iran likes to play the part of the underdog. It continually puts itself in positions against superior forces where there is a lose-lose outcome for Iran. But because Iran is willing to stand nose-to-nose with these superior forces, they see it as if they have already won, the outcome doesn't matter. Iran hates Israel and because we support the Jews, Iran hates USA by extension.

As for the religious aspects.:

Israel claims God gave them the land they now occupy, as well as the Zionist view that a substantial portion of the mid-east was also granted to them by God. Definitely a weak legal defense in our modern geo-political age.

Iran wants to bring about the ultimate Holy War because their brand of Islam believes that the 13th Imam (basically a new prophet that will bring a worldwide movement to make the entire world Islamic) will come back to earth during this great war.

Israel is America's client state in the MidEast. However, it isn't on top of any oil, so America had to invade Iraq.
A goal of America's foreign policy is to control the world's access to oil, and a strong military presence in the Middle East will help them to do it.

Iran -- worried about the bully that's just moved in nextdoor -- is gearing up to protect itself from US invasion. Pretty smart of them, if you ask me.

It was wrong for the US to invade Iraq, but it was smart of the US to invade a country that has no nuclear deterrent. Iran & North Korea are big bad guys in US news media now because they have (or are on the road to having) a nuclear deterrent to US aggression.

By the way, I am an American who loves the principles this country was founded on. I just don't like what our leaders are doing!

well as a muslim i would have to beg to differ. iran is a muslim country. the whole fight is over palestine. this is a very complex issue. muslims and jews are from among the brotheren. they both decend from abraham a prophet from all the great monotheistic faiths. jews feel they own palestine so when hitler who was a christian started killing the jews the jews felt they needed a country they can call their own.the allie powers got together they had created usited nations and the united nations decided that jews should have palestine and completley wipped the word palestine off the map. naturally that inferiorated the whole muslim world. according to the torah the jews were sentenced to exile as a punishment for worshipping the golden calf. there are many jews who do not agree with the modern state of israel because according to some the promised comming messiah has not yet been brought to the jewish race. the zionists jews are the majority in affectivly taking control of what is now refered to as israel. since the taking of palestine this has caused millions of displaced palestinian refugees and has impregnated a fight between jews and muslims until the end of israel as we know it or the end of the world. palestine/israel which ever you want to call it is the holy land. this is the birth place of the three great monotheistic religions. judism, christianity, and islam. they are believe they have claim to the land and they all will continue fighting for it. right now because of globalization the west is trying to take over the middle east. this is all a political struggle as well as a religious one. in this area of the world no matter how much the west wants to deny it this is a religious war. iran is the mot powerful muslim country in that region. they want muslims to rule that area. there is a common misconception that iranians want to see all jews dead is wrong. the jewish people in iran are protected and there are jews who have lived in that region for thousands of years and not a hair on their head is harmed. iran is angry because they do not want to be taken over by the west. the west is very intolerent to the islmic belief system. you also have to take into consideration the middle east is being taken over because of the oil which is what the worlds economy is based on. north korea on the other hand is in this because they do not want to be taken over as well. the korean war divided korea the south flourished by excepting the laws the west has given them. north korea remained firmed and did not want to be taken over. the bottom line this is all a fight for money, land, and power. no one wants to loose their country to invaders. we see the outcome from being taken over. south africas diamond minds were depeleated by the white british peole who invaded them. the belgium congo was destroyed by the west. rowanda was detroyed by the beligium, etc......
