Baseball pitchers are quicker than most cricket bowlers, but only just, and only because they are able to actaully throw the ball with the straightening of the arm.
Bowlers in cricket bowl overarm, and are not allowed to straighten the elbow more than 15 degrees, which is not much, so therefore for them to get the ball at speeds of 90+mph is fantsastic when most pitchers throw 90-100mph.

Basically Cricker bowlers should be faster as they run few yard and get the momentum. But they are slightly lesser than baseball pitchers, because the baseball pitchers line is straight to the hitter but cricket bowler hits the pitch before reaching the batsman. so that indirect line could reduce the speed
In baseball, a fast pitch is about 144-160 km/h (90-100 mph).
In cricket, a fast ball is about 140-150 km/h (87-94 mph).
Fastest baseball pitcher - Mark Wohlers 103mph
Fastest Cricket bowler - Shoaib Akhtar 100mph

Initially, Cricket bowler generates more speed then baseball pitcher. Let me explain how first of all cricket bowler has movement and the second of all the speed you see on t.v. is the average speed from bowlers hand to batsmen during the bounce the cricket ball lose significant amount of speed so if you were to pitch full tose at your full strength then you can generate more speed than a baseball pitcher. if you are a good healthy and well fit fast bowler then you can also work on your action to generate extra speed. Regarding to which ball is heavier or what not. Both ball is about similar but the new cricket ball is much more harder than baseball. After bit of use cricket ball get bit softer. Regarding to whose gonna hit who:- Remember cricket bowlers' run up is not straight so it be hard for pitcher to hit him so there is lots of if.

difference nowadays is around 5-10 mphs in favor of baseball pitchers.. but
cricket bowlers are alot quicker now...
akhtar, lee, bonds, Sami, Tait, Malinga, Flintoff , Mahmood.. these are few.. can easily touch or go over 90mph barrier..
but it takes alot more skill to bowl a 90mph whilst throwing it Overarm..than to just throw it like they do in baseball..
thats what some of these baseball fanatics dont realize, if u noticen that is their best argument, we throw harder.. lol
personal example would be, our team has a radar gun that we use in practice, im not a fast bowler by any stretch, medium fast at best, when i bowled in nets i was clocking 67-75mph(that was my best)... but when i clocked my throw from that same distance, fastest i clocked was 84mph.. im not saying it was a slider or 2 seam fastball but fact that i almost gained 10mphs just because i bent my elbow.. tells alot about the game of baseball.

If cricketers were allowed to bend their elbows, they'd be faster than pitchers.
