Sometimes people mistake friendship for something deeper - borne out of an individual's desire for the friendship to be more than it is. Happens the world over & not just to gays either. You can remain friends - if he can get over his crush on you. Otherwise, he'll always harbour those feelings for you and this will make you feel uncomfortable, albeit subliminally. That would spoil your friendship.

Great question,
I kinda had an issue similar to this one, although I did not have a good outcome. So I will give you opposite advice than what I did.
Last year I met this guy through a good friend, he is straight and I gay, He was seeing my friend who is a girl, and well he was really hot, and at times it seemed like he would be coming onto me, and my boyfriend. Needless to say I put a stop to it, and told him we could no longer be friends, though he won't admit to it, I know what was happening.
However he was a really cool guy and a good friend, so I do believe to just give it a little time to cool down, don't lose a good friendship over this unless, you guy friend is unable to get over you.
Good Luck to ya!!

I even have heard human beings have this thought until eventually now. i'm uncertain there is any relation, even nevertheless it would desire to look as though there is now and lower back. while i ought to pick a label, i might perceive as a lesbian. I even have an intensive relationship with my mom, yet she does no longer practice affection plenty. I even have an in basic terms approximately non-existent relationship with my father. consistent with those, in accordance to that concept, I must be promptly. So i'm no longer so particular that holds up.

Just re assert you boundaries. Tell him he is only a friend. If he can't handle it, they you really can't be friends. Tell him everything you just said here. Hopefully he is mature enough to get it. If not...

Obsessive compulsive, it is what it is. Relax and let your friend come back to you. I just think he might be a little over the edge.
