I have heard so many dems in here say bush fired the military leader that didnt agree with him and hired one that did (even though you dont hire and fire commanders, but I digress)

Turns out the head of the CBO was actually fired for not saying what Senator Spratt (D)and Senator Conrad (D) wanted to hear and hired someone from a Democrat think tank that most people say is a training ground for Democrat Leaders. Shouldnt yall condemn them too?

Maybe I am naive or foolish about this. I think retired generals have little to gain and lots to lose (honor, peace of mind, credibility) by 'agreeing' just to stay 'in' with a president who appointed him.
I think most military men who have reached top commands are likely to be more concerned about what their colleagues think of them than any pesident.
Also, does it sound sensible to appoint antagonists to help you in ANY undertaking? Private OR public, Democrat OR republican?

well all you need do is check on all the rash of the retiring military commanders to see they simply took a page out of the bush administration's playbook as his administration is well known for firing those that do not agree with what is said and getting those in that do

Because an expert isn't an expert if they don't agree with you, especially when you pay them.
