There were clones along its history of Mac, but as corporate monopoly goes Apple is no better than Microsoft and Apple shut cloner company down on the ground that they did not proliferate Mac system; but I would've bought a Mac from Power Computing if they are still around.

Hello Bandicoot,

Unlike Microsoft, Apple is a hardware manufacturer. If you like the Macintosh OS, you need to buy a Macintosh to get it. There has been some news recently from the people who have been making it possible to use Windows on the Mac with BootCamp, that the technology can be hacked the other way; the Mac OS X on a non-Macintosh computer hardware.
