What are some good ideas to get imspired for a story?

Someone once asked Isaac Asimov how he came up with ideas for his stories. He replied, "I think and think and think until I'm ready to jump out a window." Somebody also once asked Dr. Asimov if he had any favored writing rituals. He replied, "I like to sit close enough to the word processor that my fingers reach the keys." These are the two best pieces of advice for a writer I've ever found. The only way to get inspired for a story is to think really hard, and get your ideas written down.

For most people, start from your own experiences! Comic, tragic, sad, or dramatic, when you write from your own life experiences, you'll be far more likely to give a story that has that ring of truth, no matter how improbable, because at some level, it is. You can change as much as you like when writing it, but when you start with something you've felt, done, seen, or lived through, you know what you're writing about.

Silly girl, good ideas ARE what inspire you for a story. Just use your imagination. Watch cartoons, mainly anime. Anime is much more creative than nearly all American cartoons. Go to youtube and watch anime AMV's. Think in different ways than you normally do. If you normally support one thing, support the opposite that you don't like just to think outside the box. This will help. And don't forget to keep pencil and paper IN hand to write down things immediatly. Your ideas and just random things could inspire good ideas.
