Strong classroom management is necessary to create a safe environment that is conducive to learning. Out of control children do not learn and they prevent others from learning. Students of all ages need to know the expectations of the teacher in order to succeed. Without proper classroom management (which includes everything from behavioral concerns to making sure the environment is safe etc.) learning can't occur.
