I have tries Benadryl, and it does nothing, can ANYONE please suggest something else I can either take oo do to help me sleep. Im desperate and I need the sleep. Thanks

I've been there, girl. Is there any way you can get your partner to massage your back or rub your feet when you feel drowsy? Anything to relax for a while and get a little shut eye! Taking different medications at this point won't really have a huge effect on the baby, if at all. (I'm no doctor, but, like I said, I've been there!)

Sleeping with lots of pillows to prop up your legs and under your back, may lessen the pain. Also, avoid caffine and get some fresh air in the early evening!

Unfortunately, at this point, your options are so limited. Call your OB for more advice. You can always trust them!

Best of luck with your little bambino! :)

Hi, when I was about that stage, i developed what is known as SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) which is where the bones at the front of the pelvis pull apart even further than what is normal with pregnancy. I experienced pain with any movement that involved moving my legs apart, putting pants on was particularly hard, rolling over in bed was excruciating, and it was particularly worse at night time, I could barely walk at night. If this is what you are experiencing, there's not much that can be done about it. I went to a Chiropractor once a week which gave me some relief for about a day, and some people suggest that wearing a belly support band can help take pressure off the pubic bones. Physiotherapy is said to help for some people too. But the pain probably won't go away until you've had the baby. My pain went away as soon as I had given birth.

If your pain is different to this, then sorry, I probably haven't helped at all!!

Best of luck.

The only thing that help me was taking a walk before going to bed. Also sleeping with the open window. But honestly, although this helps a little bit, nothing will make you sleep like you used to before you got pregnant. Our bodies are probably trying to prepare us for sleepless nights after the baby is born :)

i have been haveing a hard time sleeping from pelvic pains since i was about 30 weeks, so i totally understand where you are comming from... the only thing that i have tryed and takes SOME pain off is sleeping with a pellow in between my knees, but not a really fluffy one and not a flat one, just one that levels your knees to you hips. it doesnt help 100% but it does take some of the sharp pains away. good luck, its tuff

There are prescription sleep aids that are pretty safe for use during pregnancy. If you've tried Benadryl with no luck, I would ask your OB if there's something they can give you.

Pillows are also a GREAT help when you're pregnant. I used five to help me sleep.

well, the bad news is....you won't be getting much sleep from now on till the next coming year (it happens to most pregnant women)...I honestly believe that God is depriving you of sleep in your final couple of months of being pregnant, so that you become used to the fact that you'll not be sleeping well for the coming months after your baby is born...well you won't be able to do much about it...but right now just sleep in a comfortable bed, on your right side and place a pillow between your legs and fold a blanket under your belly so that gravity doesn't act on it...GOOD LUCK....

ummmmmmm, have the baby and wait 19 years, then you might be able to get some sleep, LOL. Have you tried laying in different positions?? Maybe try sleeping sitting in a recliner. I always was most comfy on my side, with a pillow between my lets, another behind my back to lean back on, and one in front to wrap around.
