To be a good singer at the karaoke bar, you basically only need to figure out your vocal range (how high and how low you can go). Since you can basically turn the pitch down and up, you don't have to worry about the actual pitch of the song. Once you've done that. you can make better choices and you realise you can sing many many songs because you'll never end up screaming or straining yourself to reach notes (if you had selected a song beyond your range). Look out for songs by the same singers you can pull off, they usually have a fixed range. You'll be a pro in no time. Good luck!

My first thought before I looked at other answers was Don't Worry, Be Happy. I see someone else agrees.

Other songs that are easy are funny songs like, Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Polka Dot Bikini or Purple People Eater. Wild Thing, Sugar Shack, and Harper Valley PTA are also good.

On the Road again or You were always on my mind. In fact, any Willie Nelson song goes over well at a karaoke bar (esp. if people are drinking & it is late).

The songs turn The web page and Horse without call are some songs which have very few diverse notes to hit. the only different song which could be a lot less stressful than those is Tequila. "Disco" Bob
