The country is founded on God fearing people. We can only try not to be sinners but we are and that is it. Everyone in the world is a sinner, Christians believe in forgiveness and so do others but for the most part others do not, right? So can we forgive everyone for being ignorant and start over and be pleasant and get on with the Q?A? here? What about those Bears eh? And the superbowl?

Read the last line of the Declaration of Independence -
Those writers were NOT "God fearing" - they were deists. (look it up, hard to explain here) - they wouldn't have "bought" the concept of sin - simply that if man made bad decisions there would be bad consequences.
Others don't believe in forgiveness? Are you kidding? But I don't need your Gods forgiveness because it means nothing to me. I don't believe sin exists in a way that needs to be forgiven by the supernatural. The kind I can see at work between men, that one means much more to me....
and if you want to "judge" me for being ignorant because I don't need your gods forgiveness, then go ahead and be a hypocrite.

I don't fear god, and I don't watch football, I'm from New York and I have many dead friends, and I'm not forgiving any swinging dick that had anything to do with 911 or anyone that remotely thinks my country sucks.
