Well, I had to have cutsie games at my shower a few months ago, but whatever works. I've seen all sorts of favors, working in a restaurant. You can get pink blue or neutral mesh bags and fill them with after dinner mints, or do the bath salts like that. We did a chinese auction with live houseplants, bath sets and picture frames or homemade theme gift baskets(i.e. gardening, kitchen, etc.) My friend gave out those glass-like clear blocks that have a laser image inside. You could also try and find some small picture frames w/ magnets on the back, then send everyone a picture of the baby when s/he gets here. Those could be used for any picture though. I guess it would really depend on the group of ladies expected and their age range. Good luck, and remember, it's the mom's day, so it's okay not to go overboard on favors for others.

I just did my sister i laws baby shower. I got chocolate molds and colored chocolates. We made up little baggies with chocolate rattles, teddy bears, and bibs in them and set them at each place. we used helium filled ballons as the center pieces because it is cheap and easy to get balloons and weigh them down at each place. Also you can buy little plastic boxes that are pastel and shapes like blocks, which you could fill with candy or whatever. Since you aren't doing games you could have everyone fill out a envelope with their name and address ( so mom has an easier time sending out the thank you notes) and have the mom draw for door prizes.
