With only a population of 8,000, it is a small town.
But hey it is not very far from Mobile or Pensacola, Fl.
From the towns website:
In addition to being home to a thriving timber industry, our surrounding forests serve as a playground for the southern sportsman, as does the nearby Tensaw River Delta and the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Bay Minette is also surrounded by restored Civil War and early American history sites perfect for history buffs, family picnics, hikers and campers.

The web page sure makes it sound like the residents are friendly and lucky people.

The median resident age is just 33.4 years.
So it is not totally full of elderly people. And as such they would cater for that age group with restaurants, clubs etc:

This site has the Bay Minette restaurants listed (with addresses):

I pass thru there often but have never had a reason to stop. It looks like a typical small town and I would imagine there isn't a lot to do. I checked out their home website and zilch.

Sorry
