Well it's about time to retire my septum and get just a regular nose piercing. Which side should I get it on, how do i determine this?

i want my boyfriend to get a matching nose ring (but on the opposite side of mine) is this a good idea???

Dont you love it when people answer your question just to tell you that piercings suck? ....With that said....
Id look at your profile in the mirror...which is your best side? I'd get it on that side. Unless you have other piercings..for instance if you have your right eyebrow pierced, I'd get your left nostril pierced..etc. If you still cant decide, ask the pierce what he/she thinks is best. You could draw a dot on both sides of your nose with a washable marker, to see which looks best, or if you're going to go with a hoop, do you have Cbrs? (captive bead rings) slide one onto your nose where youre planning on piercing it, if you like it, go with that side. if not, check it out on the other side.

I've always seen them on the right side. Can't you get like a little earring post and kinda hold it up to where you want your nose piercing and see which looks best to you or maybe those stick on earrings if you can find some small enough that way you can kinda test it.

I got my nosed pierced when I was 16. I don't wear it much anymore because my 1 year old trys pulling at it too much but anyways, I had mine done on the left side.

i have a septum piercing myself but havent worn it in years, it never closed up for me. As far as nostril piercings, do you have a side of your face that has a feature like a beauty mark or something distinguishable? or do you have ear piercings maybe one side with more holes? I would pierce your nostril on that side, if not, then I don't know I guess it doesn't matter :)

take a little sticky jewel or something, and stick it to either side of your nose. determine which you like more. or. check with the doctor/piercer to make sure you can get it on either side... ask them which they think is better? ask friends.

well do you have any other piercings on your face? if so you should try to balance them out and if not then just put a fake one on and see witch side it looks better on(i put mine on the right.

i see most chicks with them on the left side. I had mine on the right. I personally don't think it matters. one person told me it means your gay if you get it on the right but that's such a load. i put mine on the right because it was easier for me to handle. its what ever you want.

May be you should ask a tattoo artist, t avoid any mistakes. Ive seen some people don't maintain their hygiene when it's done, and it's disgusting...

The right nostril is the most popular, depends on which side you sleep on, so it doesn't hurt if you lay on your side.
