I was wondering something gross. this has never happened to me before and i havent made an appointment with my doctor and i will asap, but i wanted some help from other woman first. i had a period dec 2-6 and then on christams i spotted for off and on for 3 days and then i didnt start my cycle in jan. every few days i have a light brown discharge and sometimes i bleed for a few minutes but thats it. could i be pregnant or something else?

you could be pregnant. lots of women spot durning the first few weeks of pregnancy. it was what made me go to the doctor and i found out i was pregnant.
if you're not pregnant, get some tests done for STDs and endometriosis...not sure if that's how you spell it.

Sounds like you are pregnant. If not you may have been pregnant very recently but the discharge you are describing sounds like that you might experience early in pregnancy. If it continues to be there and you don't get a real period I would call the doctor to rule out any STD's or pelvic inflammatory disease. The other possibility would be endometriosis but that would probably include a good amount of pain in the area as well. I hope all goes well for you.
P.S. If you are pregnant you may require bed rest if you are spotting I would take it easy and if you are on oral contraceptives you might want to skip those and refrain from sex until you find out. Also anything you have taken probably won't harm your child so don't worry about that. Take care.

That spotty discharge could actually be your period. Sometimes that happens. Sometimes our periods change due to unknown reasons and one month it may be heavy and then the next almost nonexistant. If you think that there is a chance that you are pregnant go get a home pregnancy test at the store. They are under $10 now and they are far more accurate and can work days after you miss your period.

It could be a symptom of many different things, not only pregnancy. If there are any other symptoms (headache, abdominal pain, diziness, anything unusual) you should see a doctor as soon as you can, because it could be a sign of anything from a blood disorder, a poor diet, or something more serious.

You could be having implantation bleeding. I would suggest taking a pregnant test asap. :) Goodluck
