Hi, thanks for your answers but i wasnt really planning on starting out on the street. i hope to upgrade to that someday but i want to start out small, riding around grassy stuff or something.

Check out a dual sport in the 200 to 350 cc range, then. Some examples include the Kawasaki KLR250 and the Yamaha TW200 and XT225. These are great in the dirt, but they are street legal and can be very practical for in-town trips. The only thing they won't do very well is carrying passengers or going on the freeway.
