Since state make criminal laws, it depends, as has been pointed out, on which state you're in and, sometimes, it will depend on how much you had. Sometimes it won't matter how much you had if a state makes all possession of it a felony. To date, all 50 states criminalize it, and many proactively seek our users and dealers because of the national exposure of the drug due to recent documentaries. it is considered an epidemic. Don't do it anyways, it's quite unhealthy. I'm not just saying that because it's illegal. I wouldn't tell not to smoke marijuana for any other reason than if you get caught, you're in trouble. This because I see little wrong with mary jabe, but meth can ruin lives. Stay Away.

In some states it is an automatic felony to possess meth. However, it usually depends on the amount and whether or not it looks like you are intending to distribute or sell it. If you have a few small bags and $5,000 cash, that would be a good indicator that your goal is to sell the remaining meth. You would have to check with your state law enforcement or government for more details on your state's law.

I think it depends on the state and possibly the amount. In some states (like Texas for example) it automatically a felony no matter how much/little you have.

I'm not sure, but I would bet it's a felony. Also depends on the amount.
