Just go out there and practice everyday - I also play for my school team.
LAY-UPS: do them over and over again, on both sides. Have someone stand there and try to block your lay-up so that you get used to forcing yourself through someone else like you would in a game, with out fowling them.
REBOUNDING: toss the ball up on the backboard and practice boxing out your man, jumping up, and grabbing the shot. Or better yet, start facing away from the backboard and have somebody throw a ball up. When they do, you have to turn around, box out your man (even better if you get a friend to be your "boxing out buddy") and grab the rebound. That is the most game-like and realistic.
DRIBBLING: just practice, practice, and practice. Dribbling is a skill that is VERY important and key to becoming a good b-ball player. Go for a jog with your ball, dribbling all the way. You should find that your wrist will soon become very tired, and your dribbling will become a lot better, too. Also, you can run around your driveway pretending a man is guarding you, you do all your moves all over the place, but do not focus on going to the hoop. Just think that you are the only one on the court playing against 10 other guys from every angle and you have to get out of there.
SHOOTING: the best way to get better at brick shots is to just shoot them! And for foul shots, start just a foot away from under the hoop and shoot 2 shots 1 handed. Then take a step or 2 back and repeat this. Keep going, taking steps back until you are at the foul line, which you then shoot 2 handed.
Good luck! Keep working at your skills, basketball is a great sport!

well i'd like to consider myself a pretty decent fantasy player for the past 7 years. the most important stat is FG% and AST. i dont know why but it just is, there was actually an article about this issue on ESPN and ever since than i have won 12 out of 21 leagues i have joined.

Rotoworld.com is the best for player news/updates. They also have articles on draft strategy, but most of those were for the start of the year. Why would you be starting a league now. Did you first team suck!

If you get a Chris Paul or Deron Williams like player who can get points, steals, and assists then in the next round try getting someone who can get rebounds and blocks. then in the 3rd get someone with good shooting percentage. it doesnt have to be in this order but my point is dont just overload on 3 or 4 stat categories and let the others just fail. be balanced.
