I'm looking for a great moisturizer.

I have VERY oily skin, yet it's also very dry and flaky since moving to Arizona.

I'm looking for a moisturizer that will hydrate my sensitive skin.
Any suggestions? (Preferrably from someone in sorta the same situation. )

Thanks!!!

Try Alba Botanica - it's great and won't clog pores. I use the Very Emollient body lotion (hypoallergenic) for my face as well. You can find it online. I quit using any other moisturizers.

Otherwise you might try their advanced line (facial) which seems to be pretty good from what reviews I read at Makeupalley.

For lip balm I love their Un-Petroleum which I use in the a.m. and the p.m. It works wonders. My daughter who lives out of state has me send it to her when I send her holiday gifts.

Hi! I don't live in the desert, but I live in NM, and it can get pretty dry here. I would suggest using a product called Arbone. Its a great brand that has different products for different types of skin. You can go to arbone.com and take a look at all the different products they have. They also have products for men and babys, products for health, such as vitamins, sun care products and make up. All the products are made with all natural and all herbal ingredients. I will tell you that it is a little on the high side as price wise, but the other good thing about this product is a little goes very long way! I had a customer that used an anti-aging line called the NutriMinC® RE9 set (price range on that one is $266, but includes The six day & night NutriMinC® RE9 anti-aging system products for the face, plus a FREE NutriMinC® RE9 REversing Gelée, Transforming Lift, a $38, Can $50.75, value.) and used it for well over 6 months! The FDA does not control the making of this product or any of the testing. What they do is they try the products out on about 120 people. If any one of those 120 people have an alergic reaction to the product in any way, they send it back and work it to its perfection! Where as other companies and products will still send out the product to be sold even if 3 out of 50 people have a reaction to it. I don't really know what your budget is, but I would deffinetly give this a try. If it is out of your price range I would suggest that you use products that don't have mineral oil as an ingredient. We have tested out what mineral oil does, and our conclusion is that it does nothing but dry you out. We soaked two saltine crakers, one in mineral oil and the other in water, for about 10-15 seconds. When we pulled out the cracker from the water, it was pretty much just mush, and when pulled the cracker from the mineral oil, it was just as hard as when we first put it in. So if it can do that to a cracker, imagine what it does to our skin! I hope my answer helps you in some way! Good luck!

I'm from Ohio and currently living in the Mojave desert... I also have oily skin, yet my skin is dry... you know? So, I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for combination oily to oily skin. I love it's hydrating effects, but it doesn't leave me shiny or oily.

Hi,

You might want to try this moisturizer called 'udderly smooth' thats available at trader joes stores. Its a real bargain for 2.99 a jar. It hydrates without oiling up the skin. I live in Tucson and use it regularly, and its been working well if i use it frequently enough.

Try Aveeno. I have combination skin. It's really super dry in some places and really oily in others. It helped me balance out my skin alot. I also live in AZ so I know. My skin freaked out when I moved here from NM but it really helped me out alot. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It's sort of expensive but well worth every penny!

I live in Los Angeles. My skin dried out 15 minutes after I got off the plane.

I use a drugstore moisturizer (Dove) and I mix olive oil in it.

This has worked wonders for my skin!

Kiss My Face lotion is excellent and all natural. They don't test their products or ingredients on animals either, and the bottle is 100% recycled material. I have several big bottles of Kiss My Face around the house, and a few 4-oz. tube size ones for my purse.
