Of a Square, (Rectangle same thing I guess)
Triangle, Circle...etc..

I pretty sure that to find the area its Lengh times width

But I forgot about the equations of perimeter

This is geometry class stuff but Im sure you already knew that from what Ive said. Anyways 5 Stars will be awarded to the best explained answer that provides the best most easy to understante imformative information.

Thank you and have a good night

Perimeter of:
1. square, 4 times the length of the side
2. rectangle, 2 times the width plus 2 times the length
3. Triangle, add all of the sides together (you may need the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of each side.
4. Circle, actually called the circumference, 2 times pi time the radius.
5. Other regular polygons, the length of the sides times the number of sides. (regular means all sides are the same length and all the angles are the same size)

I hope this helps.

Length * width is area. The formulas are easy to get confused between the two. Perimeter is the length of the border, like you ran a string around the shape.

Here are a few formulas:
Rectangle: 2*length + 2*height
Square: 4 * side (just a specialized rectangle)
Triangle: side1 + side2 + side3
Circle: PI*diameter OR 2*PI*radius
General Formula for Polygons: add all the sides together

Hope that helps. Like everything, its easier if you can picture (or draw) it.

perimeter of rectangle = 2 x length + 2 x width
perimeter of square = 4 x side
cicumfrence of a circle = 2 x pi x radius
perimeter of triangle = side 1 + side 2 + side 3

The perimeter of a square is 4s, where s = length of a side.

The perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+w) where l = length and w = width.

The perimeter of a circle is 2*pi*r where r is the radius and pi = 3.1416

The perimeter of a triangle is a+b+c where a, b, and c are the the length of the three sides.

Perimeter is the distance around the outside. Just add up the sides. For a circle we call the perimeter the circumference.
