It's really cold in utah, what should I wear to stay warm, I will work up to 12 hours a day. Long jhons I told was good thing. Help so I don't freeze to death.

Firewatchers have to be on premises to check sprinkler system, exits, extinguishers, etc. I imagine it will could get pretty cold: since you live in Utah, you probably have most of the basics down. I suggest dressing in layers of natural fibers, thermal silk closer to the skin, cotton tee, wool sweater, fleece vest and down jacket. Don't forget a hat - a lot of body heat is lost from the head if uncovered. You can also get the little chemical packets that heat up for a few hours that you can stuff in your pockets to keep your hands warm. I believe they even have battery-operated 'heating' socks if you don't have warm boots.
