I have a friend who was hypnotized at a party and did some crazy things. At the end, the hypnotist erased her memory of what happened when she was hypnotized. Is there a way for her to recall those memories or are they gone for good?

EVERY memory you have is still inside your mind.
What the hypnotist did was put a "block" on the memory of that evening making it more difficult to locate.

Can you contact the hypnotist directly? Have your friend call them and give the person a free session to remove ANY blocks that they put on them. It's unethical to do this and it really ticks me off when people use hypnosis to entertain people.
I am a Certified Hypnotherapist by the way.

" Memory " entails the growth/change of synaptic connections. That is, it is physiological. Memory is subject to time degradation, though, so she may remember the incident a little differently than it happened. The hypnotist put a suggestion to forget and that is all it's power; just suggestion.

No, That's not true you think you forgot but, you actually didn't. She has to get it reversed in order to fix her memory.
