i am pretty confused on how they are going to make Saw 4. i heard it is in production but im just confused about the whole thing.... like who is going to be Jigsaw? im pretty sure that old dude really isnt going to come back this time and it cant be that chick.

The way Saw 3 ended, there absolutely has to be a Saw 4! Rumor is, it will be out October 2007. The actor Tobin Bell has been signed on for FIVE Saw movies....so this probably won't be the last! Also...there's rumors that the 4th or 5th movie will be a prequel... I don't see the 4th movie being the prequel, because ya know.... in the beginning...the detectives found Troy torn apart by the chains......then the white male cop said in a mysterious way "ALL HE HAD TO DO was get out of the chains"....
and they were like "what do you mean all he had to do??" and the cop just kind of looked up.......he could have been in on it all along and he was jigsaw's backup plan if jigsaw ended up dying......
that and maybe amanda isn't dead....

I don't think Amanda is dead or Jigsaw because as said in another answer Tobin Bell signed to do 5 movies and Shawnee Smith still wants more money i think it's dumb to continue and i thinkit will ruin this trilogy i think they should've made Saw 3 the ultimate and made it longer showing Jeff saving his daughter and leaving Dr.Lynne, Amanda, and Jigsaw dead.

I hate to ruin it for you but tobin bell's character is GOD. the movie was written by people with the stick theory (a harsh punishing god)
you can't kill god with a buzz saw, no matter where you cut him.
