How can he control spending if he is giving money left and right for the war? There is better use to that money for sure..

This question just shows your lack of an education - you probably either attend or teach at some liberal run public school or University.

The President doesn't control spending - Congress does. The President can say anything he wants about the budget until he's blue in the face but it's Congress who spends the money.

Now that the Democraps are in control, the better question is are they going to put their money where their mouths are and cut funding for the war - this was supposedly the "mandate" from the voters wasn't it? Or are they going to be the spineless wussbag - all talk and no action - ignorant fools that they've always been?

When they raise taxes on everyone - including the poor - by letting the current tax cuts expire - will you applaud them like the good liberal sheep that you are?

Now, go to sleep - it's way past your bed time

Now that there are only a few chickens left in the hen house, isn't it interesting that the fox says we should consider putting up a fence?http://www.uuforum.org/deficit.htm
Having plundered the Treasury for his war making machine friends, he now talks of future spending cuts, all to take place under the future President's watch.
The Plundering Herd have made out like bandits here and in the Middle East, and they certainly don't wish to stop now. Wait at least two more years to see if they can complete their job. There is a "method to their madness," and we still don't seem to have caught on.

He wants to take credit for things that the Democrats have been clamouring for.

Bush is numerically challenged. He showed that when he claimed the sky was falling as an excuse to get rid of Social Security. Eventually he admitted that his plan would cost nearly a trillion dollars.

Note also that he claims to have shrunk the deficit. But he left out the fact that he did so by robbing Social Security. Hmmm... Didn't I just mention SS?

He is a master of words. He convinced us to go into Iraq and to reelect us by appealing to our fears. "Torture" has been redefined so that what they do in Gitmo is not "torture". (The attorney gen. helped with that.) He "listened" to lots of Democrats, Generals, etc before announcing his surge. The word "listen" fooled us, to him it has nothing to do with "take into consideration", much less "agree to".

"Mission Accomplished" was used in place of "victory"; he did not want to stop fooling around in Iraq. And to keep things going (like wiretapping), he needs us to stay in a constant state of "war" -- another abused word.

Can anyone defend his acts of stupidity? Fewer and fewer persons.
