My only problem with them is you can't see around them when you're trying to pull out, gauge traffic, etc. I don't just have that problem with SUV owners, it's with van and pickup owners too.

Um, because most SUV's are
1) destroying the planet. You pay, what, $40 to fill up that gas-guzzler? And why? So you can drive to the grocery store that is two miles away?
2) way too big for the road. They are big, they are bulky, they are getting to be way too flashy. Get over it.
3) unnecessary. Especially in the big cities. If you really need room to drive your kids around, get a van.

Because people like to breathe and SUVs are killing the planet.
Which, I find it odd that where I live (Vancouver) is known for being particularly environmentally friendly, yet there are a lot of people who drive SUVs...

In my position, various the SUV drivers are aggressive, conceited, and often force in a reckless way. also, in my position, various the SUV vendors, even Jeeps and Land Rovers, not in any respect even take their motor vehicle off the line ! They purchase it because it seems hard and muscular. possessing an American branded even makes them experience extra hard, like possessing a Harley Davidson. As for some thing else of the international, I dont recognize, notwithstanding that's the tale and stereotype in my position.

Generally because they don't use them. Seriously, if you live in Little Falls, NJ, you don't need that big Ford Explorer. All you do is commute on well-paved roads.
If you need hauling capacity or rugged driving, fine. Great. In fact, stay away from a nice little hybrid at all costs.
But if you don't need it, then you're just needlessly spewing pollutants in to the air and screwing our lungs over when you could do just as well in a nice 50 mpg hybrid Civic.

Because hopping into your 8 mpg Hummer to go to 3 miles to the grocery store for some milk and tabloid magazines is stupid. I'm not a big environment person, but that kind of stuff bugs the crap outta me.
