Gary danko is filled for the 14th, but they are doing the same dinner the 15th, and 16 th as well. XYz is another doing something special that night, . i'm trying to remember others. Mecca, i can't remember but you know restaurants are charging alot more than normal for such a night also...i would suggest making a nice dinner and getting a bottle of champgne. If you enjoy cooking, make a heart ravioli or something cute like that. just ideas. anyways, it's the thought that counts.

Paragon Restaurant & Bar
701 Second St (Cross Street: Townsend Street)
San Francisco, CA 94107
(415) 537-9020
But you may wanna consider heading to the one just across the bridge in Berkeley it's MUCH nicer, it overlooks the Bay Area spectacular view, live jazz 4 days a week, and parking is validated:
*Paragon Bar and Cafe*
41 Tunnel Rd
Berkeley, CA 94705

cafe jaqueline
they only serve soufles and it takes about 2 to 3 hours to get out as the service is a bit slow of there (and parking is horrible on north beach) , but it is a great place for a special meal and the fact that it takes so long is part of the charm. And there is something wonderful about sharing a soufle that is very intimate
From yelp review "A great place for a first date, last date or no date. Whatever the occasion, it's truly a toe curling experience. I have to admit I was drawn to the cafe for its legendary chocolate souffl but have become a big fan of the lobster souffl. In fact, the lobster souffl is so fabulous; I could probably skip dessert all together.
Despite the spotty service, Cafe Jacqueline is a must anytime you can justify the splurge.

I hate to break this to you, but if you don't have reservations for Valentine's Day in San Francisco, you are going to have a hard time getting a table at the more "romanitic" spots. Maybe you can find a place that will take a 5 p.m. reservation. Having said that, try "Bix", or "Boulevards", both beautiful spots with wonderful food.

House of Prime Rib has EXCELLENT food, good service, beautiful inside, but it can get noisy at times.
This one is pricy, but it's the best Restaurant in SF: Micheal Mina, in St. Francis hotel. You can read the reviews online and you'll see what I'm saying.

Volare's - Italian Rest. in the Italian section North beach across from Washington Square. Sit in the few tables to the right which are right next to the window - you can see the goings on outside and the beautiful church across the park when your eyes drift off your special person.

If your in to Steak, go to Ruths' Chris. Its a little pricy but way worth it for a steak that cuts like butter.
