who is your doctor?! Because this is not right! You first of all need confirmation before you decide if you have it or not for sure, she should have taken a sample scraping for testing. And you should tell your husband, because if you do have it and he is not treated and you are- then you will just continue to infect each other! http://www.medicinenet.com/genital_warts_in_women/article.htm
Please go to this website to learn more about this, and find another doctor!!

do what you feel is right here is some info on them.........Genital Warts
Genital warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Some types of HPV cause common skin warts, and some are associated with cervical cancer. About one-third of HPV types are spread through sexual contact and cause warts in the genital area.
Symptoms
You may have genital warts and not be aware you are infected, because there are often no symptoms. If warts are visible, they appear as small, raised bumps that may grow larger or disappear. You may experience itching and burning on or near your sex organs or anus and may have pain with intercourse.
In women, genital warts may occur:
On the inside or outside of the vagina
On the cervix
Around the anus
In men, genital warts are less common, generally occurring:
Around the tip of the penis
On the shaft of the penis
On the scrotum
Around the anus
Treatment
There is no permanent cure for HPV infection, but the warts it causes can be treated. It is important to get treatment from your doctor—do not use drugstore treatments intended for other kinds of warts. Because warts may reoccur, see your doctor regularly for checkups.

Genital warts are very common, they can lay dormant for years and then just pop up. the symptoms vary they dont have to itch or burn, sometimes you wont even know that you have them.
Your doctor can give you some ointment that will get rid of the actual warts but unfortunatley there is no cure for it and it will always remain in your system, they are contageous when the warts are there and they come in contact with another person through sex or oral sex.
You should be having regular pap smears as having genital warts can increase you chance of getting cervical cancer.
you need to tell your husband as he more than likely has them also and you both need to get rid of the warts at the same time to help prevent outbreaks.
Good luck

Genital warts is human papilloma virus, or HPV. It's very common, more than half of all sexually active people get it at some point. It's just that most people who get it have no symptoms. Your husband already has it too (maybe he gave it to you?), so just let him know and have him checked out with a doctor. I think the problems it causes with men are even less than with women. You'll just need to have regular Pap smears because in some cases it can lead to cervical cancer because it mutates the cells on your cervix.

Four years with one partner still means you could have had it before you were with him. So, neither of you should be suspicious of infidelity.
There's no cure for the strain of HPV that causes genital warts, and they are generally painless. It's not as bad as many other STDs.
But, I think you should tell your husband. Lying, even by omission is never healthy for a relationship. And he has a right to know.
Be sure to keep up with your annual Pap. HPV may cause an increased risk of cervical cancer. Good luck!
