Of course not it will make you sick literally. Anger is such a strong emotion and if it is not let out it will make you sick even if you have to (by yourself) scream, cry, brake things, throw things around that is still more therputic then keeping it in. You might be able to keep it in for a lil while but eventually you will have a nervous breakdown your body can only take so much trust me i've been there. I will affect your life b/c you won't be able to function properly. It will probably make you servely depressed and maybe even suicidal it depends on how much anger you are keeping in. It can affect you in different ways also it is different for each individual. But if you are having a problem with this don't keep it in it might seem like the easiest thing at the time but it will only hurt you in the long run.

Sometimes it's better to just "hold it." Not "hold it in." Just
Hold It. Especially when the person you're angry at is one
that you love.
If you don't hold it, and slow down, you might say things you
won't be able to take back.
What's more important? What you want from the other person?
Or having them in your life?

Consider that your mind has the rule over your speech.
Head controls mouth, and every thing else.
Take what made you angry, write it down, and subtract the
angry words from it, and write what ever thoughts the other
words lead you to.
Words and thoughts are connected, and help you make
connections.

Mind you, I'm not telling you to be a doormat. When you do
let any anger of yours out, it should be in measure.
It should be done to correct real bad behaviour that you
cannot tolerate, personal or violent attacks.
Measuring, and slowing down your anger is actually better than
holding it within, because you can stick up for yourself calmly.

No, it's not. It could cause health problems, such as strokes and heart attacks caused by the stress that builds up inside of you. It will probably affect your family as well, because if you have all this anger pent up inside it's eventually going to all come out.

That's a recipe for disaster. Holding in anger to keep yourself from physically assaulting someone is one thing. Holding in anger indefinitely is unequivocally wrong because it WILL come out whether you realize it or not, it will. It just might come out in ways you won't expect.

If you hold in all your anger, it will build up in your conscience, and someday you'll eventually let it go.
A good method is to be honest with people when you're angry with them, in a calm manner of course. Trouble does not often result from honesty.

Holding in your anger will make you sick. I've done it, so I know. You have to face your issues head on or mentally you will get sick and then physically. You need to either talk to someone, a counselor or someone you trust, or write down your feelings. You somehow need to vent!!! Anger can destroy your life.

I think it's healthy to voice an opinion, to say how you feel, just not to get angry to the point of yelling, pushing, punching the wall, etc. If you keep your frustration inside it could make you ill. The other part of the frustration you can work out in running, bicycling, swimming, sports, etc.
