A state of mind, inner peace. You must obtain it yourself and not depend on other people for your happiness or you will always eventually come up empty handed. Satisfaction in your life circumstances, the ability to adapt and accept what ever the case may be.

Actually happiness is different to everyone..to me its a breath of fresh air on a sunny day gently carrassing your face and the warm sun and blue sky and the lush green grass.A simple smile and feeling good not being sick and knowing that all is well with the world..Its a smile from a child or a thank you for helping an older person with something difficult for them.. Taking care of an animal that needs help or doing things for others.. or giving.. my greatest happiness.. to see a smile from someone that needs or wants something in their lives that they normally couldn't have gotten without your help..Taking a homeless person to eat or sharing a meal with a friend that has it rough..but everyone has different feelings about happiness this is just a few of mine.

Having this negative voice that lives in my head go away. It is not a literal voice but man is it loud. It is the voice that tells me not to do something then it busts my balls for not doing it. This is the voice that tells me it can't just be a mole, it must be cancer. This voice tries to alter my perception of everything. I honestly think I am strong enough to live in an alley in downtown Chicago without feeling sad if only I could kill this voice.

happiness is an inside job, it is that place in one's center where he/she is fundamentally o.k. i know that doesn't sound like a whole lot when you say it out loud, but think about it for a moment, and i think you will find like i have that fundamentally o.k. is way better off than 99.999999 percent of the world's human population...(cats are different, generaly a cat is fundamentally o.k. with his/her self, yet who knows what goes on in their furry little heads, but i seriously doubt that they worry much...)
