Recently I've been noticing my woman's vagina has a fishy odor to it. Is this normal? Should I tell her? I don't want to embarrass her. I've kept it to myself for the past 6 days since I've noticed it -- thinking it would go away, but it hasn't. When I was in high school and middle school, I would hear kids make jokes about vaginas smelling like fish, but I thought that was just a schoolyard myth. Sure enough, I researched it on some biology websites pertaining to reproductive organs, and it does indeed state that women's vaginas will get a foul "fishy" odor. Why would it smell like seafood specifically? This is just too weird.

She might have a vaginal infection. Vaginosis is the medical term. It smells of fish and sometimes is accompanied by a white discharge. Tell her....gently. She needs to see her gyn. Either that or get used to eating mackerel.

your woman has a specificvaginal infection called tricomonas....unfortunately this infection is an STD. it is not normal for a vagina to smell like FISH...she probably has a green frothy discharge to go along with it. and the smell is just foul..the only RX that can cure this infection is called Flagyl. and the both of you need to be treated at the same time with an oral medication called Flagyl. this infection does not appear from out of nowhere....either 1 or both of you have been playing around.
and the thing about this condition is that if you both don't get treated, then you will have what is called the ping-pong effect.
in other words if you get cleared up and she does not then she will give it right back to you and vice-versa and that is why you both need to be treated at the same time.

hey. vaginas are not spose to smell fishy unless they stared there period or just ended there period or they are not clean down there. make sure she shaves down there regularly and before having sex why dont you both have a bath together. that should make the smell go away
