Because I've tried everything... At first I carved her name into my arm and told her that she meant so much to me that I was willing to mutilate myself and others, and she just called me sick! So then I tried telling her that I would take custody of both of our children and never let her see them again, but she told me that the courts would never agree to such a thing... So I just started hitting her. You know, nothing new or anything, but this time she was like "I don't have to stand for this." So I told her "You're not standing, you're cowering in the corner!" And we both got a good laugh out of that. Actually, I think I was the only one laughing.
At anyrate, please help! I don't know what else to do!

You cannot make her stop or want to do any different... If she does not want the marriage anymore then you need to let her go and move on with your life... Trust me you will be better for it. Actually you do seem a little obsessed and sick if you mutilated yourself for her.... Obsession is not love. Threatening her will not help either .... You really need to let her go because what you are doing to her is wrong and very controlling.... This is probably why she wants out and away from you... I hate to say it but you will not get custody of the kids if she can prove this stuff in court and she may also be able to prove that you are unstable. You need to let her go and seek counseling and help.

First of all you can not make someone stay or love you. By physical abuse. Or threats of any sort. I think you really should seek some counseling. Let her know that you are willing to go to marriage counseling. Why not it sounds as if you have tried everything else. Good luck to you
