Hi KT B

Here are some ideas to use to heal the condition.

Treat Both Ears: The simple, old-fashioned aids are sometimes very fast in giving relief. Always treat both ears, even if only one aches.

1. Onion: Lightly bake a large onion, cut it in half and while warm (not hot enough to irritate the area), bind one half of the onion over each ear. Bandage in place and hold bandage on with a nightcap, white skullcap, etc., and leave on all night.

2.Camomile: Use a fomentation over both ears of three parts of camomile and one part of lobelia. Take two ounces orally (a wineglass full) each two waking hours. Leave the fomentation on the ears all night. (Cover fomentation with plastic or oiled silk, etc.).

3.Mullein: Use three to six drops of mullein oil in both ears several times each day. Insert it upon retiring for the night, and, as before, plug the ears with cotton. Place a fomentation over the ears all night of three parts mullein and one part lobelia.

Testimonials
1.Garlic: When my little girl had an earache I put a piece of fresh garlic in her ear and it was better by morning. The previous alternative was to go to the doctor and pay a lot of money for penicillin.

Best of health to you

Olive oil can soothe the an infection, yet later on the micro organism multiply and also you're worse off. What you actually want to do is dry out your ear to kill them off. Use a Q-tip to operate some drops of vinegar or hydrogen peroxide to the contaminated ear, then lie down on your opposite area for roughly 5 minutes so it would want to artwork its way all the way down to the position the an infection is. later on, tip your head any incorrect thanks to enable it come out and blot with a Kleenex. If the an infection is really undesirable it would want to sting plenty; if that is a milder one you would no longer experience a lot. there is also an over the counter drop noted as Similisan which suits exceptionally properly, and it soothes because it remedies. If the an infection receives into your inner ear, that's mandatory to get an antibiotic, yet attempt this widely used and word if it clears up. you would want to repeat the approach once you've a cold - in the adventure that your ear feels congested, keep doing this two times an afternoon. at the same time as my an infection receives so undesirable i am going to't cope with it at abode, I call my healthcare specialist and he will call in an antibiotic for me. Saves a healthcare specialist's bill, and amoxicillin is lower priced.

Medical Doctors will give you anti biotics, which will work, but if you build a tolerance to anti biotics, then you have a problem on your hands. Try Bio Ear or Nutriobiotic Ear Drops (made with Grape Seed Extract). Both work very well and are found in health food stores. Other herbal tinctures that work very well are: Garlic and Mullein extracts. You can boil some pressed garlic and then use the water extract in your ears (don't put it in when it is really hot though!) Lukewarm Olive Oil works great on ear pain - just a few drops in the ear and put a cotton ball to keep it from running out. Good luck!

Middle Ear Infections

Middle ear infections result from a buildup of fluid in the middle ear that gets infected. Fluid buildup is caused by congestion that blocks the natural channel (eustachian tube) that allows air and fluid to go in and out of your middle ear. Once the fluid is infected with bacteria, a middle ear infection develops.

Colds or allergies are almost always to blame for the congestion and fluid buildup. This is why ear infections often occur on the second or third day of a cold.

Symptoms of Middle Ear Infections

When children tug at their ears, act irritable, or have a fever after a cold, suspect an ear infection and seek medical attention.

Treating Middle Ear Infections

Ear infections may require regular treatment with low doses of antibiotics. However, your doctor may recommend that an ear infection not be treated with antibiotics because of problems with resistant bacteria. Some ear infections will get better on their own. Your child’s doctor may recommend ear tubes to drain fluids from the ears if your child has fluid that does not go away or is not responding to treatment.

Preventing Middle Ear Infections

There are several steps you can take to prevent ear infections in children:

Encourage breastfeeding.
If using a bottle, feed child upright.
Avoid exposure to passive smoke.
Limit exposure to large numbers of children as much as possible.
Wash hands carefully—both adults and children.
Limit exposure to viral upper respiratory infections.
Avoid pacifier use in children older than 10 months of age.
Caring for Middle Ear Infections

If your doctor has prescribed antibiotics, take as directed to reduce the risk of recurring problems. That means not skipping doses, measuring doses carefully, and taking the medication exactly the way it is prescribed. Store the antibiotic as directed; some require refrigeration.
Follow your doctor’s recommendations for follow-up exams or other measures to prevent future ear problems.
For relief from pain or help with sleep, use acetaminophen (Tylenol or a generic) instead of aspirin.
Ask your doctor if swimming is okay. Avoid diving, because the pressure change could cause ear pain.

Atomidine will sting like the dickens, but it will sure clear up ear infections fast! Not recommended for kids because of the pain, but for some reason, self inflicted is never as bad.

My brother had the same problem... Did you get it by swimming in a lake, open body of water, river, stream, pool, etc?
Tip: Clean with Q-tips on the OUTSIDE NOT INSIDE of ear
make sure ear is dry before putting ear drops (go see your physician). Try not to move, turn your head, or stand up for 10 minutes after!

Go see your Dr. He/She can prescribe whatever med you need to cure whatever is causing your infection. Don't try to cure it yourself. You'll only make the situation worse and you could pop your ear drum.
