no, and they don't get HOME-FIELD advantage in the MLB also.
how could the NY Yankees get home field advantage there not the All-Star team, All-Star teams are players throughout the league not just one team, who ever told you that is wrong.

Um NO. Think about it if the east won the all star game most of the series played are against other east teams how the hell would you award home ice/field advantage throughout the playoffs. Even if you did it for the championship series would that be fair?

Nope, just for fun, the way it should be!
It's STUPID to give home-ice advantage to the winning conference, why not do the LOGICAL thing and let the team with the better record have home-ice/field. Oh, that's right. MLB is not logical to begin with.

No because unlike MLB the NHL realizes that the game is MEANT TO BE FUN. It isn't meant to have any meaning. That was one of the DUMBEST things Bud Selig did in my opinion. Although it was to cover up for the DUMBEST thing he did when he called that All-Star game a tie.

The winner does not get home ice advantage.... although I hear it is something the Hockey Minds at the board of governors are currently debating to provide something more meaningful to play for.

No, although there was talk that in the near future they may change it to that. It would actually get them to play some defense and liven up the game some.
