ANYONE KNOW ANY TIPS I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE I GO INTO A PROFESSIONAL AUDTION AND DO THEY ASK YOU TO READ A MONOLOGUE OR READ A PART OF THEIR SCRIPT??!?

I agree with the previous poster. There's more to it than just memorizing lines. Really read the script and think what's really going on in the scene. Plus, be pleasant before and after TO EVERYONE at the audition site. You may not get the part but maybe another will come up and they will remember you were a nice person to be around. That got me my one televised role on local TV.

Play it safe and be prepared for both. Monologues aren't a "given" any audition (they might be pressed for time) but I'd definitely be prepared for a cold reading (reading from the script).
And when they say "thank you" say it back to them and LEAVE. Directors hate it when you try to small talk during an audition.

Script. Study the pauses. That's where the acting takes place. It's not in the lines.

I would say, learn a monologue in case and just be prepared. Or you could look up the info somwhere and find out there.
