Okay, my make up look perfectly fine when i put it on, but when I go out in the sun or whatever, it turn a bit orange. Like WTH! And its not only 1 make up. I use Maybelline dream matte mouse, Neutrogena skin clearing, Almay, Revlon, Covergirl, ect... all have the SAME RESULT. I'm Asian but I don't have a yellow under tone, in fact, I'm pretty pale, does anyone know the reason why?
I put Mineral veil on top of my foundation to set it, and everything look perfect, until I look at myself in the mirror later, then my make up look kind of orange. Ugh, so faustrating.

The sun light and light from a light bulb gives differnent reflections. So you "think" that you look normal inside but as soon as you go in the sun, it shows what you really look like. You may need to go a shade lighter than what you are choosing. It is not the maker of the make up but the color you are choosing. You can also try going to the mall. They can match the shade of your foundation to the shade of your skin. It is a bit costly but it is worth it. The foundation lasts longer and won't smudge or dry out. Good luck.

You may be using a foundation that has a yellow undertone. Try to find a foundation with a pink undertone. This may help.

Affordable Mineral Makeup is natural and may work better on your skin. They have 10 colors to choose from and each color covers about 4 shades of skin tones. They blend really well on your skin. You can even purchase a sample of each color for $20.90. This way you can play around with the different foundation colors and pick the one that works best and looks the most natural on your skin.

It sounds like you are wearing the wrong color. The downside of drugstore cosmetics is that you 1) are on your own and 2) cannot try before you buy. If you can, go to a department store cosmetics counter to try on different foundations, BEFORE you commit to it, walk outside and make sure it looks good in the natural light. If you can only get drugstore cosmetics, then grab a portable mirror or if one is not around go near the haribrushes where they usually are and get the foundation bottle. Go as close as possible to natural light (window or near the door) and hold the bottle up to your jawline. It is always a risk with drugstore cosmetics. Try to buy from Rite Aid if possible, they are one place I know of that accepts cometics returns.

Also, you might be wearing too much foundation. Great tools are important. Invest in a good foundation brush. Stila makes a nice one that is around $20 (worth it) and from my research on makeupalley.com this is a great brush. Once you finish applying foundation, blot lightly with a tissue, powder and blot again.

hhmmm, ok. this has happened to me when i was using lots of foundation. it changes in different lighting. Perhaps, you need to let your own skin shine through. i stopped using the stuff, and in a week the acne and w/e that i was covering cleared. i used exfoliating stuff and it made me look not so pale but natural which is always awesome. don't forget to go in the sun for at least 10 mins a day for a mood and vitamin D boost. *( but not too much). the orange look is happening because foundation, in the end, just isn't natural. good luck.

In my 1st being pregnant in direction of the merely correct trimester I awoke contained in the course of the evening and can want to kill for an orange! I had my husband purchase me a lot of unpolluted oranges and drank orange juice like it become going out of style, lol. properly, I had a boy. i'm now about 9 weeks pregnant and would't even imagine about ingesting OJ, which I in many cases love. So we are going to see what this being pregnant brings.

Go to a Prescriptives makeup counter. They will blend a shade to match your skin tone perfectly. They have excellent makeup that will never clog your pores (like mac) and will still make your skin look flawless

yeah, covergirl usually does that... i dont know why, but wanted to let you know your not alone with the problem.

try Avon or Mary K.

as sad as it is, the expensive ones at macys doesnt seem to do it either...its the pricey stuff that works better (we'll be poor but glamorous) ;)

just keep trying, you'll find the right one. stay away from the brands you already tried, different forms doesnt mean different formulas, if you know what i mean.

:)

Try going to a department store and getting a professional to pick you color. They will be more expensive, but they will help the orange effect and match your true color better. My favorites are MAC and Chanel but they are fairly expensive. Clinique is more reasonable and still works well.

Hope this helps!

Go to a M.A.C counter and have them tell you what shade you are.
You go by the flesh on your wrist when purchasing foundation.
Orange and two-toned neck are never attractive
