So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Sure I believe in ufo's i see them all the time in an area called ufo central in Colorado..the Indians reported seeing things in the sky's here over 20000 years ago.. and etched them into stone to show their existence.I think for one in this day in time they are mostly special military aircraft since their are bases that are on maneuvers around here all the time. They could he helicopters and whatever.I think what the Indians saw here were basically optical illusions even i have experienced them. The sun is so bright and so close to the earth at this altitude that you can probably see many natural phenomena.. What im seeing who knows but I can surely tell you this.. If you think we are alone in the universe then you should be ashamed of yourself.. there are billions of planets alone near us that can sustain life of some sort. Now whether the aliens have visited us thats a different question.I think if they have observed us they would probably be very aware not to interfere.we are very primitive and barbaric..Its like you getting out of your car in some really bad neighborhood.. and walking around .. doesn't make sense does it?It more than likely wouldn't to them either.. so yes and no and maybe all the above lol

OK.. here's the lowdown my peeps...

Do Aliens Exist?

Of course they do, we are a very arrogant species to believe that of all the stars in the sky that we CAN see that somewhere out there there isn't another one like our sun capable of supporting a planetary object with life on it. And that's just of the stars that we can see... think of all the stars in the universe that we can't see!!!

There are billions and billions and billions of stars in the universe, so of course the odds that another supports a lifeform are very very high.

Do the Aliens know about us?

I doubt it... we have very active systems scouring the stars for any sign of life... we've only been beaming transmissions into space for what 50 years? so our little transmissions haven't really got far from home yet to be detected.

If the Aliens knew we Existed do you think that they have come to visit?

Nope.. making something that can fly through space... not so hard once you're up there... heck a brick quite literally would make it to the moon if you chucked it out the back of the shuttle (given accurate trajectories etc). As for making something fly in the gassy dynamic of our atmosphere with all that very specific drag and resistance and pesky gravity is a more complex task that requires quite a bit of understanding of how our atmosphere is made up, what our gravity is like etc etc..

I believe that if your Alien friend tried to visit earth it would be a very amazing crash and burn type episode that really wouldn't escape mass public detection, and since that hasn't happened you can sleep well at night knowing that the Alien hasn't been here to probe you... get my drift.

OK Space Cadets, thanks for listening

I don't doubt the existence of extraterrestrial organisms, but I believe such lifeforms would be limited to bacteria and the like. Therefore, no UFO's. So far, there is no known planet within one million light years that could support the evolution any type of lifeform, due to the lack of atmosphere or otherwise. But there is always a chance! Look to the sky!

I have seen many unbelievable things. I have forgotten more than most people will ever see and know. I went to the moon when I was around five years old.At least two different underwater bases, the future and the past. Why do they always make me forget most of it? I had asked one of them if they were angels he said no. I asked him if he was an alien he said no. He than said he's an alternating life form. Eh, whatever. Sometimes I feel like a beer.

The universe is huge, and to think that we are the only living (and intelligent) beings out there is pretty naive and conceited. So, Yes, but maybe not little green beings as they are portrayed by Hollywood.

well, i do. There are billions of other planets and life may be life on one of them. No one can say for sure that there is absolutely not life out there.
