i dont get it please answer ASAP!

This is an old southern expression that basically means to "hold on a second", while being a little p.o'd. Other ones that come to mind are: "Just hold the phone", or "Will you give me a minute?"

It means someone is aggravated that you can't wait a minute, they don't like being hurried and they are saying cotton pickin instead of something nasty.

Wait one Minute. "Cotton Pickin" is just a filler so you don't swear, which in the south and through the bible belt, is a very good thing.

Just don't ever call someone a cotton picker! I made the mistake of calling my milato (sp) friend that. He got a kick out of it because I was clueless about the meaning.
