It seems you look at life with a pessimistic attitude. I don't know your story, but I do know only YOU can make your life enjoyable. Optimism is the one quality more associated with success and happiness than any other. We are built to solve problems, achieve goals, strive for something more and you will find there's no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.

Don't you think that to a large extent life is hard because people wish it to be so? People have the capacity to change the world around them but choose to have one with strife and struggle.

Since most people are more familiar with movies than books, you might have seen in one of the Matrix movies where the machines said they created a world of peace for people and the people were unhappy.

People enjoy conflicts and challenges. Are we a sane race is the question?

The good news is that you have much choice over how hard your own life is. Some parts are beyond your control but much of your feelings and reactions are within your influence.

Life is harder for people who don't live by the right set of rules. We're all imperfect, but as humans, we are selfish and now, in 2007, so morally backwards, that the pieces of life don't fall into the right places for most of us anymore. What is bad is now not only accepted, but deemed good.
If we truly treated everyone the way we would want to be treated, we wouldn't be in Iraq, there would be no crime, we'd help each other instead of despising each other...

"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puff up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion, but proving false to its power; and from these turn away." -2 Timothy 3:16
The Bible is telling us why life is so hard. But fairly, it also tells us how to be happy. "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them." -Matthew 5:3
So... concentrate on spirituality; giving instead of taking, treating people kindly because it says, finally, at Galatians 6:7 "...For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap." I hope this helps!

It is not life which is hard, it is you whom is hard...You will become quite soft and peaceful after you accomplish your movement you conceived earlier..Remember quality of performance is important, quantity is not. Size does not matter in this context...(in a memory of dr.Freud)

Life is the classroom, you are the pupil, and the experiences you go through are the teacher. Try paying more attention.

Allow me to answer you by quoting a spirit message given to us by Garibaldi:

Have you ever considered the question of how much you could give in the solution of the personal predicament you are in? Have you ever considered in times when you are about to be desperate and feel the hopelessness of your situation the justice and love of God? Through the times and ages, man has always asked his Creator, why me? Why are you letting these things happen to me when faced with seemingly insurmountable problems of daily living? But in the countless times that this question has been asked by man, he has failed to listen to the answers of his Creator. He has failed to understand why God has singled him out of the countless number of souls in this plane and why that particular trial, why that particular difficulty has befallen him.

In effect, man, in trying to communicate with his Creator, has only succeeded in mouthing out his question; but he has not learned to listen. If man had learned to listen, he would have known that because God knows he has the strength, he has the wisdom and he has the courage to solve the puzzle and deliver himself out of that predicament that the test has been given. A test not for God to know his weakness: but for him, for man himself, to know his strength and for him to know also of the great love that God has for him. Such is a continuing opportunity for learning, for improvement, that he may attain to perfection being thrown his way.

Man succumbs easily to the negative thought of destruction that he finds a very simple explanation for his difficulties, that God is punishing him for his sins and that his God has wrought his destruction because of his sins. But his God is all forgiving. How can a God of love and forgiveness seek the destruction of His beloved creatures? He seeks only the perfection, the strength and the beauty of that which He has created. And so man should not be thinking of his destruction, for God has not willed it and has desired only love, prosperity, wisdom and happiness for man…
