Can anyone tell me the name of the film that starred Ed Harris and Sam Elliott (both incredibly looking men, 'specially in this movie'. It was a western and the cover of the VHS had their faces on, it, scruffy beards, etc. I looked up IMDB for both actors and I cannot find one movie the two were in, but i KNOW i saw it in Hollywood Video.
Whats the films name please???

my mistake,. its was Tome Berenger and Sam Elliott and the movie was ROUGH RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE.

A great tool for finding movies that two people worked in is on IMDB. If you type in the persons name and scroll to the bottom, you can type in another person's name and it'll give you all their joint ventures. :) Using this, yo ucan see that they also worked on Gettysburg together!

It couldn't have been in the 70's and been Ed Harris because all of his work in the 70's was tv with only small roles in movies.
imdb.com is pretty acurate with their information.
