I have lower back pain that comes and goes. It starts in my lower back and goes to my front and down my legs. I am only 23 weeks. Is this normal or something I should be concerned about? I see my doctor on Friday so any help until then would be great. Thanks

It's THE WORST thing ever.. I have a bad back anyways, but im only 19 weeks and have been having this pain for more than a month.. They say it doesnt happen til later on, but mine has been bad for some time now. I'll be walking and suddenly almost fall to the ground its so painful. It's in the lower back and only on one side. It comes and goes and it happens when i step with my left leg. but it has happened on the right side a few times also.. I hope this is normal.. It must be because i was fine pre-pregnancy. They say that your body releases a hormone called Realxin or something like that and it causes your pelvis to relax so it can spread and make room, which in turn causes the other joints to have alot less support

Lower back pain is normal and the baby's probably sitting on a nerve but you may want to call the dr just to be sure. Back labor is sometimes hard to understand.

Tell your doctor, and ask if s/he has any recommendations for a chiropractor. I had this with 2 of my pregnancies and the chiropractor helped wonders! You can also try some exercises at home, like pelvic tilts, which will help shift baby's position in the womb to relieve some pressure on your nerve.

It is most likly a pinched nerve, most pregnat women suffer from siatica which is a pinch nerve in your back that makes you le numb. I would definatly let your doctor know.
