It means exactly what it says. Trustworthy...... worthy of people's trust. Usually because they are completely honest in all that they say or do. Not too many people like that anymore, unfortunately.

If you find one, hang on to them as a dear friend!

This makes me think of a Boy Scout -- the oath or law or something says, "A Scout is trustworthy, ..." And that reminds me of when my own boys were in scouts.

Trustworthy has a good feel to it!
