i was talking from a phylophisical point of view.
In our society are we "punished" for asking (wanting to know more, the truth)? and rewarded if we just answer what someone else wants to hear?

I guess they figured a ratio of 2 questions for every 5 answers seemed about right (as a bare minnimum) to them. Otherwise, people would be asking endless questions & hardly anyone would be answering them.
I wish more people voted in the opinion subjects like politics, cutures & groups & this one.

(You do get 3 points back if you pick the best answer to your question).
Perhaps Yahoo! feels that people would be asking endless questions if they were not charged points. You get 2, as you said, when you answer--and another 10 if you try really hard and get picked as best answer.

I don't know, but they do reward ten points for the best answer.

yahoo knows what they are doing they would never cheat, by taking 5 points every time, Their Vegas Odds can't be beat.
