There is plenty to do at Discovery Cove besides the dolphin swim. The dolphin swim really doesn't last long - only about a half an hour, I think - so while you're taking part in the dolphin swim maybe your boyfriend wouldn't mind recording or taking pictures of your experience from the beach area. But besides that there are a lot of other attractions. There's the coral reef pool, the tropical river, the ray lagoon, the Resort pool, and the aviary. In the package with the dolphin swim, you get access to all of these areas. They give you your own SCUBA gear, of course, sun screen, towels, complimentary meals, snacks, and beverages. And yes, complimentary admission to either Busch Gardens OR Sea World is available with the package. For an extra fee you can get admission to both Busch Gardens and Sea World. Keep in mind, though, Sea World is just across the street and Busch Gardens is over in Tampa.

You should order the free brochure from their website. I did. It gives all the information you need about the packages, and there's a lot of nice, pretty pictures...

Hope I could help! Have fun!

It sounds like you have purchased one of the multi park tickets. As Katlyn already mentioned there will be lots of things for him to do at Discovery Cove with out swimming with the Dolphins. Another option for him is he can go to Sea World and explore the theme park while you are at Discovery Cove. Sea World is across the street within walking distance or I am sure they provide a shuttle back and forth. He can then contact you via cell phone to find out when you are ready. At Sea World he can take in some of the shows, ride some rides, visit the beer pavilion to sample the Busch beers, etc..... This way everyone is happy. Busch Gardens is about one hour away in Tampa and there are many things there that both of you will enjoy.
Have fun on your trip

Discovery Cove is fantastic PLUS the tag they provide you with is likewise a 7day cost ticket to Sea international :D so as that is really cool you may have an truly good time careful although there important pool with fish has a neglected drop off so watch the position you walk because its basic to fall. I actually have not stayed on the demanding Rock Cafe yet i recognize you may bypass into the park an hour early except they stopped doing that. i do not imagine there is any hidden prices and that i'm no longer effective about the nick hotel because i actually have not stayed there.
