Well if her mom already knows, then there isn't much you can do.
However tell her that the people that say they are like 20 or 17 are almost always 40 or 50. Also give her some proof about
incidents that have happened like this and that those people that
gave out their numbers always ended up six feet under.

Your friend is hungry for attention. She gets the obvious attention from the internet, plus your attention when you show upset at her behavior.

If she ignores sensible advice about adult males who seek out teenage girls, all you can do is prepare yourself for her tales of woe when she's eventually abused. (If she survives.) You might diminish her behavior by ignoring it, but that depends on how much other attention she gets, and where she gets it from.

If her mom was serious about protecting her, she could consult a computer expert for software that monitors and limits the internet behavior, but the key is involvement. If mom (or another responsible adult) can't spend time on the problem, and with the girl, it will get worse.

Be advised that as much as you care for someone, you are not and cannot, be responsible for their behavior. If your friend ends up dead, you don't need to go down the drain yourself out of guilt.

There isn't anything you can do. Her mother knows of this & it is up to her to do what a GOOD parent should do in this case. Nothing is more important than protecting your child, the mom will do the right thing. The most you can do is to keep telling your friend how reckless she is being & that she is putting herself in danger.
Also you may want to think about that when you hang out with her, if she is in danger & your with her.........YOU are also in danger!

umm. I am wondering if there any other trustful adults that you and her can really trust may help to tell or maybe need to check for hotline or online for online help (sorry I don't know the site)... be the best to play it safe... there are some sex offenders lurking around the net. remind your friend that it is not safe to give out anything because through phone calls, never know what may gonna happen.

Tell her that there are a lot of creeps out there that say theyre 18 and really might be a 50 year old guy. They may have pics up, but its not hard to steal photos. My friend on Myspace has 31 fakes of him. Its not hard to get photos, and its not hard to lie about information on yourself. Tell her that they can find out where she lives and rape or kill her. Tell her to not give out ANY personal info on herself. Also, tell her to NOT GET YOU INVOLVED. You dont want to become part of her stupid acts.

if her parents are already aware of the situation there's not much you can do.

one thing you could try is dig up a bunce of articles about situations like this turned horribly wrong and give them to her to see if that will scare her a little

theres really no other way to convince her out of this but if you show her the recent reports of pervs out there in the internet and get girls like your friend then she will get scared somewhat right?
