Why pick someone like Tom Brady as the greatest and ignore the fact Troy Aikman has 3 rings?

Brady only has like 1 or 2, am I right?So who do you think is better Troy or Brady?

Why pick Troy and ignore the fact that Joe Montana has 4? Neither Troy nor Tom were the greatest, trust me, although at least Troy wasn't playing in the salary-capped era of mediocrity the NFL has become now.

Tom Brady because he is actually good, not just playing on a over payed superstar team. You have to remember that Aikman played before the salary cap and played with Emmit Smith, Michale Irvin, Alvin Harper, Jay Novacheck, and Daryl (moose) Johnson all in their prime. Also, Tom Brady has 3 rings too and he has gotten there with much less talent because he is a really good quarterback unlike Troy Aikman.

Well because Tom Brady is Playing now, and Aikman retired early like 1999 early, Aikman Retired before Brady was even out of College to begin so we Ignored him since he left the game.

Brady has won 3 Super Bowls....'02, '04, '05. When it is all said and done I believe Brady will be viewed as being a better QB than Aikman. This is coming from a huge Cowboys fan so it hurts me to say that. Aikman had a great offensive line, Emmitt, Novacek, Irvin. Brady doesn't have much more than his own talents.

Back in the day old Troy was the best QB on the field but his time is up i liked Troy but he played for a long time also he had some pretty good WR's to including Mickeal and he got 3 rings but brady still has some years to play so he might become the best, and montana.... wasent really a good QB. If he was then why diddnt he win a superbowl?

Tom Brady has 3 rings....in 4 years.

Also...neither him nor Aikman are the best of all time....Brady is probably the best in the clutch of his era...and Aikman had a great run in Dallas...but not even the best of his era. That would have been Joe Montana, Dan Marino or Steve Young...depending on the way you want to break down the eras. I personally think that Joe Montana is the best QB of All-Time.

Everyone talks about the rings, but there are so many other variables that go into winning a Super Bowl besides the QB. And out of all the names mentioned, great QB's they all are indeed, no one mentioned Brett Favre. Three consecutive league MVPs, that's unparalleled in any sport. And if he comes back he'll extend his 257 game consecutive start streak and in all likely hood overtake Marino for most TD's. I know I'm a bit biased as a Packer fan, but those kind of numbers should at least get you a mention. I'm not saying he's the best all time (Brady is a much better manager of the game, possibly best ever in that regard) but I need to show my boy Brett some love.

Brady has three. He won them in a four year period just like Aikman.

They are both great QBs. Brady still has a lot of games in his future and in 10 years we'll know where he stands among the greatest of all time.

Neither Troy nor Tom is the greatest. Their teams succeeded, they played for great coaches, they were very good and important contributors, but not the greatest.

You think the Superbowl is the ultimate measure? Jim McMahon won a superbowl. Trent Dilfer won a superbowl. Are they even in the top 50 of greatest QBs ever? No!

Marino, Fouts and Kelly would be my 3 greatest QBs ever. They unfortunately (for them) did not get to win superbowls.

I think Tom Brady is OK, because he raised those 4 boys on his own before Mrs. Brady and her girls showed up.
