The door jamb ( frame ) it out of square.
Measure from opposite corner to corner 1)top right to lower left 2)lower right to upper left those measurements should be the same If not adjust the door frame until they are the same.

Could be one of several problems. First open the door and check the hinge mortises. In a real world they should be flush with the surface of the jamb and set in 1 and 1/2 inches. Same on the edge of the slab. If not, adjustments should be made. Shim or mortise correctly. Next, close the door. You should have an even margin down the hinge side. If not, shimming is required to attain the proper space needed. The jamb essentially needs to be straight and plumb. Lastly if this door has interlocking hinges, make sure no one has installed a screw in the "5th" hole in the jamb leaf of the hinge. If you have this type of hinge, the center hole remains open to accept the interlocking dog on the opposite leaf when door is closed. If this is an exterior door with kerfed weatherstripping, check to make sure the weatherstripping is pushed all the way home in the jamb. If an interior door, make sure the slab is`nt binding on the stop on the hinge side. It may have to be moved.

It sounds like you need to redo the shims. Shims must be used in pairs to maintain the door frame flat with the door. Sometimes the frame is twisted or installed other than square with the door and you have to shim out from the frame to be square with the door or the fasteners Will tend to twist the door frame to match.

hinge close door slightly to bend hinge, careful not too much that should take care of it.......
